Odisha Board is the organization which manages all the activities related to the education in the state. There are two major boards which work separately for class 10 and 12. The names of the boards are Board of Secondary Education, Odisha and Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha. These boars are responsible for education-related activities for Madhyamik and Secondary Education respectively. The boards release the time table for the respective classes and conduct the board exams. Also, these are responsible to release the result for the same.
Board of Secondary Education, Odisha
The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha was established on November 03, 1955. Its popular name is BSE Odisha. It is a state government board of school education. It came into existence under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953. The parent organization of BSE Odisha is the Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha. The headquarter of the board is situated in Bajrakabati Road, Cuttack. The official languages of BSE Odisha are Odia and English. The board controls, maintains and manages all the necessary secondary education in the state.
The board conducts the exams for the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), High School Certification Examination (HSC), Teacher’s Certificate Examinations (CT), Certificate Course in Physical Education Examination (C.P.Ed), Prathama, Madhyaman, and Middle School Scholarship / National Rural Talent Scholarship Examination (NRTS).
Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha
In accordance with the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Act 1982, the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha came into existence. From September 07, 1982, the Council administrative worked in a rented building. Since January 02, 1996, the board is working in its own building. The campus has been named as ”Prajnapitha”. The Odisha Board is well known as CHSE. There are hundreds of schools affiliated with the board. CHSE provides and prescribes the syllabus and curriculum to the affiliated schools. The board is responsible to conduct the exams and then to release the result.
Odisha Board Time Table
Odisha Board releases the time table in the month of December for Higher Secondary and in January for HSC. The boar uploads the link to download the time table online on its official website. For class 10, the date sheet gets released on bseodisha.nic.in and for class 12, the candidates obtain the exam routine on chseodisha.nic.in. The link to get the time table uses to be present on the homepage.
For the students, it is very important to download the time table. The date sheet contains the details such as the name of the board, class name, exam type, the dates for the exams, exam days, the timings for the exams, and some other useful information.
Odisha Board Admit Card
Admit Card is one of the useful documents for the candidates who wish to appear for the board exams. So, the candidates are required to download the admit card at the time of going for the exams. The exam centres provide the invigilator at every exam centre. The work of the invigilator is to check whether the student has the admit card or not. If the candidate is having the admit card then he/ she will be allowed to appear for the exams. Otherwise, they would not be able to enrol in the board examinations.
The candidates get the admit card online on the official website i.e. on bseodisha.nic.in and on chseodisha.nic.in for class 10 and 12 respectively. Once, the students click on the link, they redirect to a new page. On that page, the candidates need to fill the required details such as the registration number/ application number/ date of birth etc.
The admit card appears in the pdf file format. The candidates can see the various details such as the organisation’s name, conducting body name, class name, exam date, the days for the exams, timings for the exams, subject code, subject name, reporting time, exam centre code, exam centre name, other necessary information etc.
Odisha Board Result
Odisha Board releases the result for class 10 and 12 in the month of May or June. The candidates get the result online on the official website i.e. at bseodisha.nic.in and chseodisha.nic.in for HSC and Higher Secondary respectively. For Class 12, the candidates obtain the result separately for Commerce/ Arts and Science streams in June and May respectively.
The candidates need to submit the roll number and the registration number to search for the result. The result appears in the pdf format and contains the board’s name, the name of the class, subject name, respective marks, overall marks, result status, other important details.
