The country is in complete shutdown due to which the academic calendar has been delayed. Many states have postponed the exams or cancelled it, and in amidst all of this, the governments of all states are doing everything they can to take care of the academic losses being faced by the students.
The MP government is also working on the same. It has decided to cancel all exams and promote students for the next class without conducting the exam. However, this is not applicable for class 10th adn 12th students. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has postponed class 10th and 12th board exams 2020 till further notice.
This decision is being taken due to the rising cases of coronavirus in the country. As of now, the tally of cases have risen to 39 with five new cases of COVID-19.
MP Board Exams 2020 Cancelled Due to COVID-19 Outbreak
The Chief Minister of the state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan made the decision promote students of all classes of the state schools, except 10th and 12th board candidates. Ealier, the exam for class 5 to 8th were cancelled and students of these classes were only promoted without the exams, however, it is now officially announced that all students except for class 10th and 12th will be promoted without appearing for annual examinations.
Previously also students were promoted to next class without exams but it was long time ago due to Bhopal gas tragedy in 1984.
MP Board Exams 2020 Postponed
Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) released an official circular at its website regarding postponing class 10th and 12th board exams 2020. It has been postponed till the shutdown is not over. Revised dates for MP Board exam 2020 will be announced after the re-assessment of the situation.
