MBSE HSLC Result 2018: Statistics
The MBSE HSLC Exams were commenced from March 01, 2018. They concluded on March 16, 2018. Around 18,355 students gave the examination. Out of which 9,547 were girls while 8,788 boys registered for the Class 10th examinations. The overall pass percentage stood at 76.65%. Almost 1068 students achieved distinction. On the other hand, 3,725 students got the first division, 5,107 received second division and 3,663 students secured third division respectively. Around 105 schools registered 100 percent pass percentage whereas 15 schools were completely unsuccessful. As all the students did not clear the examination.
Now coming to school wise performance, schools managed by churches received 92.55 pass percentage. Private and government schools received 79.91 and 72.07 pass percentage respectively.
About MBSE
Mizoram Board of School Education is a state level education body. It came into existence in 1975. It regulates, supervises and controls the school education system in the state. Its main function is to conduct examination and prescribing syllabus for High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC). Apart from school education it also conducts various entrance tests of engineering, medicine, science, pharmacy etc. It ensures or maintains the quality of the education given at the schools.
