Jharkhand board conducted the open board exams for students not able to attain the formal education. JSOS 12th exams conducted annually in the month of May. Jharkhand State Open School Board (JSOS) is the state academic board responsible for conducting the open board exams at the state level. The board holds the responsibility for class 12 and class 10 students. Exams conducted twice a year. One in the month of May as well as in the month of November. JSOS has developed on December 26, 2014. The board has developed with the aim of providing the distance learning to the students. There are total 5 subjects for class 10 students. While there are total 6 subjects for class 12 students. Certificates issued by the board are valid as accepted by Ministry of External Affairs of MHRD government. JSOS is a self sustained body without any financial support of the state government.
