Grading System Used in JSOS 10th examination
The students will be given marks in both practical papers and theory. However, students will also be provided a grade on the basis of marks scored. Grades will be allotted on a nine-point scale as shown in the table below.

Passing marks for JSOS 10th examination 2022
All the students must obtain a grade higher than E or at 33% marks in all of the subjects of the Board examination. The passing criteria remain the same for compartmental examinations as well. The passing marks are the same for all the subjects. For subjects including practical work, students must get at least 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical separately. The aggregate of both has to be 33% marks for qualifying in that subject. Students will not be awarded division/distinction/aggregate.
JSOS 10th Compartment Examination 2022
Students of class 10th whose mark sheet encloses the result status as “compartment”. A Candidate failing in two of the subjects of board examination will have
a compartment. These candidates are required to sit for the supplementary examination to improve their scores and save their academic year. The candidate will be declared ‘PASS’ provided they qualify the compartmental subjects in which he/she had failed. All the candidates will be provided a maximum of 8 opportunities to clear the subject. A candidate who does not appear or fails to clear the exam at one or all the eight chances of the compartment will be expressed as failed. They will have to then reappear in all the subjects at the subsequent annual examination of the Board. Candidates will be given an option to retain their practical marks or appear for the practical examination again. The syllabus for the supplementary Candidates in the Examination will remain the same.
