Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education is an autonomous body which is responsible for the education management in the state. The board came into existence on August 28, 1975. 43 years ago, the board was established. It is popularly known as JKBOSE. JKBOSE gives affiliation to more than 10200 schools across the state and employs 22856 teachers. The headquarter of the board is situated in Jammu at Srinagar. The aim of the Jammu and Kashmir Board is to discover the talent and nurture it.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board conducts public examinations for secondary and senior secondary level. JKBOSE regulates the syllabus and curriculum to the affiliated schools. Also, it conducts the exams for both classes i.e. class 10 and 12. After the completion of the board exams, the board also declares the result for the same. The JK Board promotes the equality of opportunity by providing necessary facilities. The board implements the National Sponsored Schemes like Scholarships, Adolescence Education Programme, National Achievement Survey, NTSE/NMMS etc.
JKBOSE Time Table
The Jammu and Kashmir Board issues the time table to the students of class 10 and class 12. The board conducts the exams for various division such as Jammu, Kashmir, Kargil, Leh etc. Also, the date sheet uses to be released for the various zones like the Summer Zone and Winter Zone. The students get the date sheet in the month of January for the Summer Zone. For the Winter Zone, the board issues the date sheet in the month of September. For both zones, the board conducts the exams in the month of March and October respectively.
The students obtain the date sheet online on the official website i.e. at jkbose.ac.in. The link uses to get present on the homepage under the tab “Date Sheet” for various divisions and zones. Candidates need to just click on the link.
The date sheet contains the board’s information, the name of the class, exam type, the date of the exams, exam days, exam timings, subject code, the name of the subjects etc.
JKBOSE Admit Card
The admit card for the students of class 10 and 12 used to be available online on the official website. To download the admit card, the students need to submit the required details such as the registration number, application number, date of birth etc. The admit card used to be available in the pdf format. It contains the details such as the details about the board, the name of the class, exam name, student’s details (name, date of birth, parent’s name, roll number, registration number etc), exam details (exam date, exam day, subject code, subject name, reporting time, exam centre code, exam centre name etc).
It is mandatory for the candidates to download the admit card. If the student has the admit card then he/ she gets allowed to appear for the board exams. Otherwise, the candidate can not enrol in the board exams.
At last, the board declares the result for each exam it conducts. So, all the students get the result in the specified month. For the Summer Zone exams, the board declares the result in the month of May while for Winter Zone, the students collect the result in the month of January. The candidates need to visit the official website to search for the result. In order to find the result, the students should submit the required information such as the roll number or the name of the students.
The result use to be available in the pdf format. It contains the details such as the student’s name, class name, school code, school name, board’s name, exam name, exam type, subject code, subject name, marks in the individual subject, overall marks, the status of the result etc.
