About HPBOSE
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala was established in 1969. It came into existence under Act No. 14 of 1968. It is well known as HPBOSE. First, it had the headquarter in Shimla. But soon it shifted to Dharamshala. The headquarter was changed in the year 1983. The Board started with a staff of 34 officials which has subsequently increased to 643. The board prescribes the syllabus to the affiliated schools. The board conducts the regular as well as the open school examinations. HPBOSE provides the educational related information to class 10 and class 12 both. The board conducts exams for secondary and higher secondary twice a year. First, it conducts the board exams in the month of March and the second in the month of September. After the completion of the board exams, it also announces the result for the same.
