About HPBOSE

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is the organization which works for education in the state. It is a state level government agency which conducts the exams for HP. The Board was established in the year 1969 as per Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968. Initially, the headquarter of the board was in Shimla and then in January 1983, the headquarter shifted to Dharamshala. The Board started with a staff of 34 officials which has subsequently increased to 643. It is well known as HPBOSE. HPBOSE provides the syllabus to the affiliated schools and conducts the exams for the same. After the examinations, the board also declares the result for the same.
