HPBOSE 12th Compartment Result 2018: This year’s Stats
We have already mentioned above that the total number of students who enrolled in the exams were 98,281. Out of the total appeared students, 68,469 were passed. So, it can be said that the total pass percentage of 2018 general exams was 69.67%.
If we talk about the toppers then the names which come to the mind are Sahil Katana and Vikrant Rewal. Both the students got the highest percentage i.e. 98% in the examination. Thus, these two candidates got the first place in the state. Following this, Aajkal Arora of Sarahan got the second rank and Akshma Thakur of Hamirpur got the third position in the state. The percentage of these candidates were 96.6% and 95.8% respectively.
Now, coming to the streamwise toppers, you can see that Sahil Katana is the topper of Science section, Aajkal Arora of Commerce, and Akshma Thakur of Arts.
About Himachal Pradesh Board
HPBOSE was developed in the year, 1969. It was established as per Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968. The official name of HP Board is The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala. The headquarter of the board was in Shimla. After some time, it shifted to Dharamshala. The board changed its headquarter in January 1983. Earlier, when the board just started working, the total number of employees was 34 officially. After that, the number got increased to 643.
The board just not only conducts the exam according to the prescribed syllabus but also the Education Board prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and textbooks for the schools. HPBOSE conducts the examination for the class 10 and 12. But at present, it does not only handles the classes 10 and 12 but also manages the examinations for J.B.T and T.T.C students. As many as 5 Lakh candidates annually appear in the examination conducted by the Board. At present, more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board.
