Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) conducts the examinations for class 8th, 10th, and 12th students. There about 5 lakh students who appeared for class 10th and 12th examinations annually. HPBOSE is the state board has established in the year 1969. Its headquarter was first situated in Shimla and now it is in Dharamshala. At the same time, the board has developed with the aim of providing quality education at the state level.
