The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations is a national level private organization. CISCE was formed 60 years before on November 03, 1958. It is a Non-Government Board of School Education. Over 2100 schools are affiliated with this board in India and abroad in 2017. But now, it has been increased to 2410. The headquarter of CISCE is situated in New Delhi. Under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Kalam, an All India Certificate Examinations Conference was held in the year 1952. The main purpose was to consider the replacement of the overseas Cambridge School Certificate Examination by an All India Examination.
Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations
CISCE conducts the exams for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and for the Indian School Certificate (ISC). It is known as Class 10 and class 12 respectively. Apart from this, the board also conducts the exam for the Certificate of Vocational Education Examination (CVE – 12).

Examinations Conducted by CISCE
As we have specified above that the CISCE Board conducts the exams for ICSE, ISC, and CVE- 12. The explanation can be checked as:
ICSE (Class 10): This exam has been designed to provide the education to the students of class 10. It offers the general education, in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986.
ISC (Class 12): It is the examination through the medium of English. It has been designed in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986.
CVE- 12: The Certificate of Vocational Education Examination has been created in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Candidates can appear for this exam after taking the two years course of studies beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Year 10).
CISCE Board Time Table
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations releases the time table for ICSE and ISC students. The board issues the ICSE and ISC Time Table in the month of December. The board exams for class 10 and 12 get starts in the month of February/ March. The time table uses to get released online on the official website cisce.org. Candidates also get the date sheet from the respective schools. The time table contains the exam date, exam day, the board’s name, subject name, subject code etc.
CISCE Board Admit Card
The CISCE Admit card can be obtained through the respective schools. The board does not provide the admit card online. Candidates can collect it from the authority of the schools. The admit card is mandatory for the candidates to carry. Otherwise, the students do get allowed to appear for the exams. It contains the name of the students, board’s name, class name, roll number, date of birth of the students, parents’ name, the date of the exam, day of the exam, the venue for the exam, reporting time etc.
CISCE Board Result
The students of class 10 and class 12 get the result after the completion of the exams. The CISCE Result uses to be released in the month of May. The candidates can check the result online on the official website i.e. cisce.org. In order to find the result, the students can submit the correct roll number. It is mandatory that the roll number must be the same as given on the admit card.
Apart from this, the students can also check the result on some third-party websites such as indiaresults.om or examresults.net etc. Candidates can also get it from there. Other than this, the CISCE Board also provides the opportunity to obtain the result from the other platforms such as:

CICSE Compartmental Exams
The CISCE Board is providing first time the facility of the compartmental exams. From the session 2018-19 session, this scheme has been started. Those students who do not get the passing marks in the board exams can now apply for the compartmental exams. The candidates need not wait for a year to pass the exams. So, the students are advised to use this opportunity to get the passing marks.
