CGBSE 12th Result 2018 Topper List: Chattisgarh Board has released CGBSE 12th Result 2018 today on May 09, 208 at 10:00 AM. The students can now check the result online on the official website cgbse.nic.in. To check the result, you can enter your roll number or name. This year, over 2.72 lakh students took part in the board examinations. The overall pass percentage of this year is around 77%. The pass percentage stands at 74.45 for boys and for girls it is 79.40. The girls outperformed boys in both the classes. The student who got the first rank this year is Shiv Kumar Pandey. He obtained 98.40%. Followed by the first rank, Sandhya Kaushik got the second rank by obtaining 97.40%. On the third position, there is a tie between two boys, i.e. Shubham Gandharva and Shubham Kumar Gupta. In 2017, a total of 2.76 lakh students registered for the examinations and around 1.36 lakh were boys and 1,35 lakh were girls. Dhavendra Kumar of the Govt Higher Secondary School at Pondy in Balod district topped the state last year with 98.60%.

CGBSE 12th Result 2018 Topper List: Pass Percentage Analysis
Considering the last year’s pass percentage, this year’s percentage is a bit less than the last year. In 2016, the performance of the students was much better than 2018 and 2017 because, in 2016, the overall pass percentage was 83.73% and the strength was 3,56,953. As always, the girls outshined the boys. If we consider the pass percentage gender wise then the boys’ percentage is 74.45% and the girls’ is 79.40%. So, it is clear that the girls performed better than the boys.
Also, the second topper of the state is a girl and she has got 97.40% just 15 less than the topper’s marks. Thus, we can say that the girls have performed better than the boys.
