Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the date and time for CBSE result 2020 for class 10th and 12th. The board is all set to declare CBSE board exam results by July 15, 2020. It can be checked online at cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. Apart from this, students can also check CBSE 10th, 12th result using Google search engine, SMS service, IVRS facility, SMS organizer app and other methods. To check the result, students will need to login using details like centre number, school number, admit card id, etc.
In a final hearing in Supreme court, CBSE has cancelled the remaining papers for class 10th and 12th board exams 2020. The board was to conduct the remaining papers from July 1 to 15, however, due to the present COVID-19 situation, these papers have been cancelled.

When will CBSE 10th Result be Declared 2020?
CBSE has not officially announced the class 10th result 2020 date and time. However, now that the exams are cancelled, it is expected that the board shall declare class 10 result along with CBSE 12th exam 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the board allowed the evaluation of answer scripts to be completed by the teachers from home. Around 1.5 crore answer sheets are checked by the teachers.
CBSE 12th Result 2020 Date
The board will declare class 12th results by July 15, 2020. The time at which the result will be announced has not been confirmed by the board. However, based on previous year’s observation, it can be expected that CBSE class 12th result 2020 in the afternoon.
How is CBSE Results 2020 Prepared?
The assessment scheme for CBSE 10th, 12th exam result 2020 as adopted by the board is as follows:
- Class 10th, 12th students who have appeared for all the papers, their result will be prepared based on the performance in the exams.
- Those students who have appeared in 3 or more subjects, the average of the marks obtained in best three performing subjects will be awarded.
- However, students who have appeared in only 3 subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the nest two performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose exams have not been conducted.
- Class 12th students mainly from Delhi, who have appeared in exam for only 1 or 2 subjects, their result will be declared based on the performance in the appeared subject and performance in internal/practical/project assessment.
- Moreover, these students will also be allowed to appear in the optional examinations conducted by the board to improve their performance.
What is Moderation Policy of CBSE 2020?
The moderation policy is a provision in which the board provides the grace marks to the students who are falling short of few marks from passing the examination. The moderation policy also makes provision for giving grace marks to the students for extra difficult questions in the question paper or for any question with errors. In the year 2019, the high court termed the board’s move to scrap the grace marks moderation policy as irresponsible and unfair and also asked the latter on whether it cannot implement the same from next year onwards.
Hence, for the year 2019, owing to the directive of the Delhi High Court, the board followed the moderation policy of granting grace marks for difficult questions for the Class 12 examinations. However, the board is yet to confirm the same for this year.

Step 2: Next, the students need to click on the result link for your respective class.
Step 3: After this, you will need to login using details like (as mentioned on CBSE admit card):

Step 4: After this, click on the ‘submit’ button and then your result will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Lastly, students can download and take a print out of the provisional result for future reference.
