CBSE Class 12th Result Criteria 2021 – Central Board of Secondary Education has announced CBSE Class 12 Evaluation Criteria 2021. The assessment of the students will be done based on class 10th marks, class 11th marks, class 12 test marks, and class 12th internal marks. 40% weightage will be given to class 12th pre-board / mid term / unit test marks and 30% weightage each is for class 10th and 11th marks. As it was reported in the news, CBSE will be using class 10, 11, and 12 marks for the assessment of the students. Few things that the students must know are:
CBSE 12th Result Evaluation Criteria 2021 for Theory
Which class 12th marks will be used? – In every school a different type of exam has been held. Hence, marks secured by candidates in any of the following type of test will be used:
- Unit Term
- Mid Term
If more than one type of test is held in a school then it is upto the result committee to decide which marks are to be used.
Which class 11th marks will be used? – The marks secured by the students in theory component of the final exams will be used for evaluating CBSE result 2021 for class 12th.
Which class 10th marks will be used? – In class 10th, the average marks secured by the students in theory of best three preforming subjects will be used.
- Best three performance subjects are those in which a student scored the highest.
CBSE 12th Result Evaluation Criteria 2021 for Practical
The marks of class 12th practical / internal assessment will be on actual basis as uploaded by the schools on CBSE portal.
Important Note: The criteria makes it very clear that the result should be in consonance with the past performance of the school in class 12th board exams. This has been done for class 10th as well. The schools also need to upload their overall board performance of past 2 to 3 year. The overall performance of class 12th 2021 should match with the performance in the previous year.
This has been done to guarantee fair assessment. The schools are now bound to their usually performance parameter and cannot give too high or too low marks to the students.

How is CBSE Evaluating Class 10 Students?
As per the official document released by CBSE, the class 12 candidates will be evaluated as per the following criteria:
The assessment of the students would be done out of total of 100 marks in each subject Out of the 100 marks, 20 marks are for Internal assessment and 80 marks for Year-end board examinations, which now stands cancelled. This 80 marks will be now assessed by the schools.
This 80 marks will be evaluated by each school based on the following uniform weightage:

As per reports, CBSE 12th result 2021 will be out by 20 July 2021.
