The social science examination is usually moderate in nature as students express their mixed reactions about the difficulty level of the paper. Many aspirants claim that the paper is always pretty easy and the time given for the exam is more than enough to solve the paper as well as revise thoroughly. Students can check the detailed analysis for CBSE Class 10 Term 1 Social Science Analysis 2021-22 from the table below.

Difficult Level of PaperMedium to Easy
Most difficult section of the paperAssertion and Reason Questions
Any question out of the syllabus?None
Was the paper lengthyYes but could be finished on time
Expected Good MarksAverage: 35 Marks

The questions asked are an in-depth analysis from the prescribed NCERT textbook and term I syllabus. The in-depth interrogation made the questions more twisted and indirect. Therefore critical thinking and understanding of the prescribed textbook is a must for everyone as there were multiple questions based on Reasons and Assertion. Students had to think a lot in order to answer the questions. On the majority part, Students find that the toughest section is usually Civics. However, If one had read the textbook precisely, then it is possible to answer most of the questions. The economics part contains very open-end questions and History remains moderately difficult. Questions from Geography were also moderately difficult.

Student Review on Class 10 Social Science TERM I exam

Because of the prevalent COVID-19 restriction, Interaction with the students was minimalist. However, some students managed to share their experiences and reactions. Most of these class 10 students were satisfied with the level of question in the paper. Most of them were able to complete the paper on time. The question paper incorporated a variety of questions like MCQ, match the following, fill in the blanks, correctly or incorrectly matched pairs, case-based, Reason and Assertion true/ false and map identification. To the students surprise one of the questions was printed wrong by the CBSE itself. The question included 4 options out of which two options were similar. Students are therefore expecting a grace marking for this question.
