Supreme Court of India has dismissed the plea for cancellation of offline exams for classes 10th and 12th. The bench Justice Khanwilkar and Justice Maheshwari said that “This petition is ill advised, premature. Authorities are yet to take a decision for exam in respective boards. If decisions is not in accordance with rules & Act it will be open to aggrieved persons to set challenge in that regard.” Moreover, the bench also warned petitioners not to give false hope to students by filing such PILs.

01:35 PM – Live law reported that ” NIOS files reply before Supreme Court saying that all arrangements have been made to conduct exams in April in compliance with COVID protocols.” CBSE’s response awaited.
01:20 PM – Which State Boards will begin class 10, 12 exams in March 2022?
The following list of state boards are going to conduct the offline class 10, 12 boards from March onwards.
Maharashtra Board – Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is going to conduct Maharashtra Board 10th, 12th exams in offline mode from March 15, and March 4, 2022, respectively. MSBSHSE 10th board exams are going to be held from March 15 till April 4, whereas, Maharashtra 12th board exams will be held from March 4 till April 7, 2022. The board recently has also issued the hall ticket for SSC, HSC students.
Chhattisgarh Board – Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) is also going to begin conducting class 10, 12 exams from March. CG Board exam date for class 10 is March 03 to 23, 2022. Whereas, CG Board Class 12 exam 2022 will be held from March 2 to 30, 2022. However, contrary to other state boards, CGBSE made it mandatory for students to complete and submit their assignments only after which they are allowed to it for the annual examination. This step was taken in case if the CG Board exams 2022 are cancelled,k the board can use the assignments as submitted by the students for preparing the result.
01:18 PM – Justice AM Khanwilkar is going to hear the students’ petition against the conduct of offline board exams. However, teachers have reportedly advised students to not wait for the Supreme Court’s decision and start preparation for the annual exams which will begin in March-April.
01:14 PM – CBSE Board exams 2022 should be held physically since COVID-19 situation is improved
It is likely that CBSE officials shall tell Supreme Court to allow them to hold board exam 2022 physically as the pandemic situation is much better now.
01:12 PM – CBSE alternative in case term 2 exams are cancelled
In a notification released earlier by the CBSE board, it stated various alternative methods using the CBSE board result 2022 will be prepared for class 10, 12 students. As per the notice, the alternative methods were as follows –
Case I – In case the situation of the pandemic forces complete closure of schools during March-April 2022, but Term I exams are held at schools or centres.
In such a case, the board stated that the results would be prepared on the basis of students’ performance in Term 1 MCQ based exam and internal assessment. Furthermore, the weightage of marks of the Term I exam conducted by the Board will be increased to provide year end results.
Case II – In case the situation of the pandemic forces complete closure of schools and Board conducted Term I and II exams from home in the session 2021-22.
In this case, the results will be computed on the basis of the Internal Assessment/Practical/Project Work and Theory marks of Term-I and Term- II exams taken by the candidates from home. The marks computed will be subject to moderation or other measures to ensure the reliability of the assessment.

12:55 PM – CBSE Term 2 Exam Date 2022
CBSE earlier released a notification as per which the Class 10, 12 term 2 exams will begin from April 26, 2022. However, the date sheet for the same is not yet released and will be provided in some time.
