Latest: Assam board has released notification for form fill-up for appearing in HSLC / AHM exam 2022. The process for online form fill-up starts from November 25, 2021, and will end on December 18, 2021. One important point to note is that candidates who have not appeared for the Half-yearly exam of class X held in the month of October shall not be eligible to appear for the Assam HSLC / AHM exam 2022.

Latest: For Assam Board Exams 2022, the class 10 syllabus has been reduced by 40% for this academic session.
For this year 20% of the syllabus has been reduced for class 10th and 15% for class 3 to 9. The academic session 2021-2022 has been condensed from 31 weeks to 27 weeks only and the last working day would be April 30, 2022. The AP Board took this decision in view of the pandemic situation and delay in the reopening of schools.
School Education Commissioner, V Chinna Veerabhadrudu announced the news of the reduction of the syllabus on September 1, 2021. From the recommendation of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) of reducing syllabus and preparing the academic calendar which fills the voids of delay in reopening. He said reducing the syllabus will release pressure on students and they can prepare well in the remaining time.
It is advised to the students to note down or take a printout of the Assam board exam date 2022 so that they do not miss the exam. It is to be noted that the board or the schools shall not conduct the re-examination for students who miss the exam. - HSLC/HS Board exam will be of 3 hours
- It is advisory to all the students to reach the reporting center at least 15-30 minutes to avoid last moment rush.

The Board of Secondary Education was established after passing The Assam Secondary Education Act in 1961. In this act, SEBA was allowed to regulate and conduct the secondary examination in Assam. On January 29, 1962 Government of Assam published a notification with no. 159/61/1962 declaring the Board of Secondary Education as a new board of education in Assam.
